Types of Massage

A good massage therapist will know how to integrate different types or modalities of massage to best meet your individual needs.

Therapeutic Deep Tissue & Sports Massage  - Much of my practice involves deep tissue modalities which are ideal for the wear-and-tear injuries, chronic pain suffers and folks locked in a pain spasm cycle from MVA’s or other sudden injuries.

SWEDISH MASSAGE -This deeply relaxation massage includes a variety of strokes to warm up tissue, enhance fluid circulation and acts as a bridge between other techniques. Its ability to boost sluggish systems, speed healing and reduce swelling makes it a very popular choice!

PREGNANCY MASSAGE -  One of the greatest benefits of getting a massage when you are pregnant is BEING ABLE TO LIE SAFELY ON YOUR BELLY!!  With special considerations for baby safety and mother comfort, massage during pregnancy is a heavenly experience!

PEDIATRIC MASSAGE
Have you thought about giving your children the unique gift of massage?   Pediatric massage includes massage for ages 1 through 18 years.  Our children are experiencing stress in many ways.  Academics, social pressure and sports are all very draining to young people.  Even toddlers and babies feel stress associated with busy households, childcare centers and preschool.

ENERGY WORK– This gentle bodywork is performed over your clothing.  Each modality follows a series of steps to address all areas of the body and requires 1 hour to complete.
Reiki – The practitioner focuses on assisting the flow of energy already in your body to move freely through any areas of constriction.   Some people find a treatment to be a spiritual and physical time of renewal.   Reiki is not associated with a religion or religious practice.
Shiatsu – An ancient Japanese healing art, which means “finger pressure”.   It is the use of gentle pressure on established meridians or pathways, which correlate with each of the body’s organ systems, resulting in the promotion of health and spiritual well-being.
